40Flex Journey | Day 21

A good day to do good.

"Is not every day, God’s day? And so is not each day a day to do good and a day to save life?"

Today is God’s day. Like yesterday. And like tomorrow will be.

One Sabbath day… (Luke 6.1); On another Sabbath day… (Luke 6.6) — Is not every day, God’s day? And so is not each day a day to do good and a day to save life? (Luke 6.9)

Why don’t we (each one of us) reach out and call a friend today? C’mon, there’s already too many questions in this opening section. Just call. Go encourage another.

Now Think About This

Everyone tried to touch him, because healing power went out from him, and he healed everyone. (Luke 6.19)

To be able to touch God! Does this not amaze you? Everyone tried to touch him. Some were able to. Everyone was healed.

Have you tried to reach out to God lately? Did He answer? What did He say?

......................................................

Unexpected Faith

”I have not seen faith like this in all of Israel.” said Jesus.

He was talking about the faith of a Roman officer. Not one of His disciples. Not a religious leader. Not a scholar. Jesus said it of a Roman officer. An outsider to the faith. This man’s faith was so unexpected that the account even says that Jesus was amazed.

......................................................

Opinion polls don’t count for much, do they? The proof of the pudding is in the eating. (Luke 7.35, MSG)

In His time, everyone had an opinion of Jesus. Even to this day people has an opinion or two about Jesus. The sad part of this equation is that most people just stay with their opinions. Not many go to Jesus to partake of what He offers.
